WHAT IS BETA

Adventurous Breweries, Craft Beer Professionals and Craft Beer related businesses are needed to embark with us on an exciting journey to create the World Wide Beer Fest: BETA. We're on the hunt for insights and contributions from Breweries, Craft Beer Professionals, and related businesses to shape our project. Your interviews, brewery tours, tastings, and captivating video content will be the building blocks of our endeavor. Your expertise strengthens the online presence of the Craft beer community and builds resilience for beer festivals.

Your expertise is requested:

BETA is a hybrid event which encourages Beer Professionals to participate and share their wisdom and expertise as we work to develop our product. Participating Breweries, Taprooms, Craft Beer Businesses and Craft Beer Professionals are invited to assess our product quality through testing.

Beta Team members will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, and should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in mobile technology and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will ensure that these product and systems work correctly and make suggestions for improvements. In return, you will benefit from the benefit of technical guidance on how to live stream as well as the publicity and marketing of our innovative product.

World Wide Beer Fest is made for the Community of Craft Beer, by the Community of Craft Beer.

FESTIVAL FORMAT

There are three parts to the event: a Watch Party, Intermission, and a Dance Party.

WATCH PARTY (1 hour)

Video submissions are shown on Projection or Television to an audience on the specified date of BETA: October 29, 2023. Twitch.tv will be providing a high quality video and audio signal for the duration of the screening, which will last approximately one hour. A sound system or speakers to amplify the sound is required, in additional to a Smart Television or Video Projector.

Intermission (30 Minutes)

This is an opportunity for guests to take a break, refresh drinks, turn on lighting, and move furniture if needed. Dial into a group video call after a break.

DJ SET (3 hours)

Two 90 minute sets by DJ Mirinda and DJ Timmy will cap off the event. A fully charged device with a camera that is connected to a strong internet signal (smart webcam, laptop or smartphone) is pointed your audience. Make a little space for a dance floor for your guests to enjoy the music. We will switch over to your venue during this group video call! Your sound will be muted.

HOW TO PARTiCIPATE

STEP 1: COMPLETE AN INTEREST FORM

Certain technical requirements such as WIFI, Smart TV or Projector are required to host a Watch Party.

Craft Breweries, Craft Beer Professionals, Taprooms, and Craft Beer Businesses who wish to join the BETA event must complete the Interest Form.

STEP 2: REGISTEr

If your Craft Breweries/Craft Beer Professionals/Taproom/Craft Beer Businesses/Organization is approved, you will be sent a link with an invitation to Register for BETA.

STEP 3: DRY RUN

To have a seamless event, we provide are opportunities to diagnose and trouble shoot any issues. Choose either Monday, October 9 and Monday, October 23rd to test your setup in order to undergo any needed improvements in order to create a memorable event for your guests.

STEP 4: PROMOTE

The full benefit of BETA is in the momentum we create. We invite to engage with and follow our Social Media Channels and Co-Host an event after you sign up.

STEP 5: FOLLOW UP

We offer 1-on-1 meetings to all BETA Users to provide technical support and answer any questions about our Events. After successful registration, a unique code will be provided to allow you book a thirty minute consultation with us. Schedule Now.

STEP 6: ENGAGE

The screening portion of the event is made up of video content created by you, the Craft Beer Community. We advise BETA Users to create and submit video to this event, to achieve maximum reach and visibility.

CONTRIBUTE

submit content to the festival:

Members of the beer industry are invited to submit video content to our team of curators. Contributions of Video, Audio, Presentations, Articles, and Photographs for consideration into the Festival are accepted from Individuals, or on behalf of Organizations or Businesses who have beer content to share.

We are seeking educational, cultural, historical content which enhances the culture and knowledge of beer such as stories, tours, interviews, tastings, performances and presentations for our next events.

Submission Deadline for BETA is October 15, 2023.

Submission Deadline for 123.123 is December 15, 2023.

Technical Specs: The ideal video length is 3-7 minutes, and have a file size between 100 and 500 MB. If you a creating video using a mobile device, make sure that you turn your camera horizontally. When uploading your files, please be patient and allow at least half an hour for your file to upload. Maximum upload allowed is 1GB. Use your creativity!
